This Video Can Teach you How to Play the Guitar

In the course of three years of learning to play, I have discovered several methods of finding guitar lessons on video.First, there is a DVD set titled "Simply Guitar". My husband bought it for me when I started. Pressing buttons change the camera angles so I can always view the DVD very clearly. This was a very helpful feature in learning guitar lessons. Since I learn best visually but am not able to afford actual lessons, being able to put on a DVD and strum along is what works for me. Because it makes the process of forming the chords much simpler than looking at a chart alone, I was able to pick up the guitar and play several songs much more quickly. I feel this approach to learning has worked better for me since I learn things visually most of the time and already read music, so mainly needed an introduction to guitar technique.

Many sites on the Internet have complete DVD sets or video lessons for the various skill levels. For those who have enough time, the boxed DVD or video sets are usually complete and comprehensive enough for detailed home study. Many of these DVD sets also advertise that will teach the student to read music or at least guitar tablature as well as the technique of playing. But for a total neophyte, he can best learn guitar-playing via personal intruction or music school, the video lessons coming only as second best alternative.

For those who prefer to take a class, guitar lessons on video can be found on the Internet. Why not see the best guitar lessons online? Jamorama reviews the lessons for your convenience of selection.

Many colleges or schools award certificates or degrees to serious guitar musicians, and credit learning lessons by video. This way, students can have personalized learning from the instructor should there be difficulties. But this method can be expensive given the tuition of instructors and coursework requirements.
